Trainerize is $50/month per coach. Mindbody starts at $129. ClassPass takes 30% of every class. Apple's App Store skims 30% off in-app subscription revenue. TribeNest gives you workout programs, 1-on-1 coaching bookings, live group classes, a fitness community, supplement merch, and a branded mobile PWA, plus an AI agent (Mira) who watches every class, booking, and member every morning and tells you what to do next.

§ 01, THE STACK YOU REPLACE

Eight tools, one bill, all of it $29.

A typical fitness coach stacks Trainerize for programs, Mindbody for studio operations, Acuity for bookings, Mailchimp for email, Streamyard for live classes, Linktree, Patreon for premium content, and Calendly for consultations. Below is what that stack costs at $1,000 monthly direct revenue. TribeNest replaces all of it. Gym facilities, equipment, and supplement vendors stay where they are.

What you're paying forReal cost

Studio operations platformMindbody$129/mo

Premium content membershipsPatreon (10 to 12%)$80/mo

Stack total / month$339/mo

Estimates use public 2026 pricing. Trainerize $50 per coach, Mindbody $129 base, Patreon at 12% on $1K MRR. Gym facility, equipment, and supplement vendors intentionally not in this stack because TribeNest is the digital coaching layer, not a hardware or facility. TribeNest is flat $29.

§ 02, WHY FITNESS PLATFORMS UNDERPAY

Three reasons most fitness creators leave money on the table.

Specific structural problems with how independent trainers monetize in 2026.

  • 01

ClassPass keeps 30% of every booking.

A $30 group class booked via ClassPass nets the trainer $21 (30% take). The same class on TribeNest with direct payment nets $28.83 after Stripe. At 40 classes/month, that's $313 more, every month, for the same work.

  • 02

Apple's 30% cut hits your monthly recurring revenue.

If your fitness app is in Apple's App Store, Apple takes 30% of every in-app subscription. A $10/month membership nets you $7 on iOS. A branded mobile PWA (which TribeNest ships) installs from the browser without going through Apple's review or commission. $10 stays $9.71 after Stripe.

  • 03

Programs, bookings, and classes live in 3 separate tools.

Trainerize ($50/coach) handles workout programs. Mindbody ($129) handles studio operations. Acuity ($20) handles 1-on-1 booking. None of them share a client record. A new client signs up for a program and isn't on your booking list, isn't on your live class list, isn't on your email list.

§ 03, THE CLASS MATH

What $30 actually pays. Per class booking.

Same $30 group class booking, three very different trainer payouts. Direct beats ClassPass by ~$8 per class.

Where the booking comes throughYou netNotes
TribeNest, $30 group class$28.83After Stripe ($1.17)
ClassPass, $30 group class$21.00ClassPass keeps 30%
Apple App Store, $10/mo subscription$7.0030% Apple cut
Mindbody booking, $30 class$28.50Plus $129/mo platform fee

ClassPass take rounded to 30% per public reporting. Apple App Store cut on a $10 monthly membership shown for comparison. TribeNest figures shown after Stripe processing (2.9% + 30 cents). At 40 classes/month TribeNest beats ClassPass by $313/month.

§ 04, MEET MIRA

Mira watches the practice so you can train.

Mira reads class attendance, personal training bookings, member churn, challenge completion, and supplement sales. She tells you what to do next. You spend the saved hours coaching, not reconciling spreadsheets.

A · Every morning
She tells you which client needs a nudge.

Class attendance, PT bookings, dormant members, challenge progress, supplement reorders. One clear briefing. Before your first session.

Mira ▸ 3 clients haven't logged a workout in 9 days. Drafted a personal check-in. Plus 12 PT bookings today; 7 AM and 6 PM are full.
B · When you ask
Plain English, real client data.

"Which client is about to miss a check-in?" "What's my best class for retention?" "How many free-challenge finishers convert to paid?" Instant answers.

Mira ▸ Best retention class: Sunday Yoga, 92% 90-day stick rate. Free-challenge to paid program: 18%, mostly when day-5 message lands.
C · When she notices
She doesn't wait to be asked.

Class attendance dropping, PT bookings clustering, challenge drop-off pattern, member churn risk. She surfaces it the moment it matters.

Mira ▸ Member churn risk: 6 clients have stopped logging meals AND skipped 2+ classes. Drafted a re-engagement check-in.
D · When you have a goal
Tell her your number. She plans the path.

"$12K MRR from programs + PT." Mira checks pacing, simulates 3 tactics (cohort cadence, PT package upsell, supplement bundle), tracks weekly.

Mira ▸ $12K MRR: doable at current funnel × 1.4. Best path: 2 challenge cohorts/month + premium PT package + supplement upsell. Pace check Sundays.

§ 06, QUESTIONS

Common questions.

What independent fitness coaches and studio owners want to know before consolidating onto TribeNest.

Can I avoid Apple's 30% by using TribeNest's mobile app?

Yes. TribeNest's mobile app is a Progressive Web App (PWA) installable directly from the browser. It looks and feels like a native app on iOS and Android (icon on home screen, push notifications, offline mode), but it doesn't go through Apple's App Store or Google Play. So Apple's 30% in-app subscription cut doesn't apply. Your $10 membership nets $9.71 instead of $7.

How does live class streaming compare to Zoom for groups?

TribeNest's livestream is built for one-to-many group classes (HIIT, yoga, spin) with payment, ticketing, capacity limits, and member access controls. Zoom is one-to-many video conferencing without the commerce layer. For 1-on-1 personal training calls, most coaches use Zoom. For group classes, TribeNest replaces Streamyard and a separate ticketing tool.

Can I import my Trainerize program and clients?

Yes. Workout program content (video, descriptions, schedules) imports via export from Trainerize. Client list and progress data export as CSV and import into TribeNest. Onboarding usually takes 4 to 8 hours for a typical coach with 5 to 10 programs and 50 to 200 clients.

Does TribeNest replace ClassPass or just bypass it?

TribeNest gives you the direct booking and payment layer that competes with ClassPass at 0% commission. Some coaches still list on ClassPass for new-customer discovery (it's a marketplace) and use TribeNest for direct repeat bookings. Most shift fully direct once their client list grows enough that discovery happens via word of mouth and email.

What about supplement and merch fulfillment?

Branded apparel and accessories use Printful print-on-demand (no inventory). Supplements typically ship from a fulfillment partner you've set up (e.g., Shipfusion, ShipBob). TribeNest collects the order and customer info; your fulfillment partner ships. POS and physical inventory stay where they are.

Can I run group challenges with leaderboards and check-ins?

Yes. The community module supports challenge channels, check-in posts, progress photo threads, and (with light setup) leaderboards. Many coaches run a quarterly 6-week challenge for paid members with weekly milestones and a retention boost at the end.

What does Mira actually do for a fitness coach?

Mira reads class attendance, PT bookings, member churn, challenge completion, and supplement sales, and gives you one daily briefing. She flags clients about to miss a check-in, drafts upsell sequences for free-challenge finishers, identifies your highest-retention class, and forecasts MRR pace from your current funnel. She proposes; you approve every action.

Will Mira message my clients or take bookings without me?

No. Mira only ever proposes. Every action, sending a check-in, opening a new cohort, changing a PT package price, requires your explicit approval. She drafts. You decide. She also doesn't touch gym facility or equipment vendors; those stay where they are.
