TribeNest vs Harvest & Toggl

Harvest and Toggltrack the time.We run the whole project.

Harvest and Toggl are good standalone timers. But the hours sit in a tool bolted on beside your real work. On TribeNest, time is wired into the business: projects with a client portal, billable hours that flow straight into an invoice on the same client record, paid to your own Stripe or Paystack at a 0% commission.

In Harvest or Toggl
The hour is logged in a timer. The project, the client portal, the invoice and the payment live in other tools you stitch together.

On TribeNest
The hour lands on the project. The client watches progress, the invoice builds itself, and it is paid to your account at 0%.
§ 01, ONE PROJECT, END TO END

A timer stops at the clock. A business keeps going.

Here is a single client project, traced from the first logged hour to the review request. A standalone timer can do the first step. Watch where it stops, and where one wired system carries on.

THE PROJECT: one client, first hour to final review
On TribeNest, One project record, wired end to end.Harvest or Toggl, A timer, then a handoff.
01Log the time
You start the timer on a task and the hours land on the project, tagged billable.
Harvest and Toggl track time here too.
02Client portal
The client opens their portal, follows progress, and leaves a comment on the thread.
A standalone timer has no client portal, so clients cannot follow along.
03Invoice from the hours
The billable hours build an invoice on the same client record, no re-keying.
Toggl has no invoicing; Harvest invoices, but on a record separate from the client and portal.
04Paid to your account
The invoice is paid into your own Stripe or Paystack at a 0% commission.
The timer hands you off to a separate payment tool, on a separate record.
05Review and next project
On delivery, a review request sends, and the client record is ready for the next project.
No reviews, no wired follow-up, the trail ends at the export.

Harvest and Toggl log the hour. TribeNest runs the project the hour belongs to.

§ 02, THE FACTS

A timer measures the hour. TribeNest runs everything the hour is part of.

§ 04, WHAT STAYS YOURS

The hours are yours. So is what they earn.

A comparison page can argue features all day. This is the part that does not change when you switch tools, or when a project ends.

01

0% commission

Every invoice, every plan, forever. We charge a subscription, never a percentage of what you bill.

02

Your own Stripe or Paystack

Invoices are paid into your account at the processor's standard rate. Your money never touches our hands.

03

One client record

Time, contract, invoice and payment live together on the client, not scattered across tools.

04

Export any day

Time entries, invoices and client data leave whole, as CSV and files, whenever you want.

§ 05, THE HONEST VERDICT

When a standalone timer is the right call.

Stay on Harvest or Toggl if
  • You only want a pure, focused timer and you bill through a separate system you already like.
  • Your team lives in a single time-tracking view and never needs a client portal or projects.
  • Deep reports on hours alone, with no invoicing or client record, are all you need.
Switch to TribeNest if
  • Time is part of running the business: projects, a client portal, invoices and payments together.
  • You want billable hours to flow straight into an invoice, paid to your own account at 0%.
  • You would rather run one client record than stitch a timer to an invoicing tool and a portal.

Harvest and Toggl are good timers. TribeNest is the business the timer plugs into.

§ 07, QUESTIONS

Common questions.

What every Harvest and Toggl user wants to know before switching.

Is TribeNest a Harvest or Toggl alternative?

Yes, and more than a swap. Harvest and Toggl are standalone timers you export from to bill somewhere else. TribeNest tracks time inside the business: the hours land on a project with a client portal, flow into an invoice on the same client record, and are paid to your own account at a 0% commission.

How does the price compare to Harvest and Toggl?

Harvest is about $11 per seat a month, Toggl Track runs roughly $9 to $18 per user a month, and both bill only for time tracking. TribeNest starts at $49 a month for the whole business: time, projects, a client portal, contracts, invoices and payments, with a 0% commission on every invoice.

Can clients follow project progress?

Yes. Every project has a client portal where the client follows progress, sees logged milestones, comments on the thread and collaborates with you. Harvest and Toggl are internal timers with no client-facing portal, so that conversation happens in email instead.

Do billable hours turn into invoices?

Yes, on the same client record. Billable hours build an invoice with no re-keying, and it is paid into your own Stripe or Paystack at a 0% commission. Toggl does not invoice at all, and Harvest invoices on a record separate from the client and the project.

What about transaction fees on invoices?

TribeNest takes 0 percent. Your payment processor charges its standard rate, paid to Stripe or Paystack, not to us. The invoice, the client and the tracked time all live on one record, so nothing is stitched together after the fact.

Can I import my time entries and clients?

Yes. Export your time entries and client list from Harvest or Toggl as CSV, and import them into TribeNest. From there the hours attach to projects and clients, so past work and new work live on the same records.

Does Mira change anything without me approving?

No. Mira, the analyst inside, watches your projects and hours and proposes what to invoice or follow up on, but nothing sends until you approve it. She flags stalled projects and unbilled hours and tells you what to handle this week. You can auto-approve specific actions once you trust her.

§ 08, MAKE THE SWITCH

One record.
Time, invoice and client, wired.

Move off a standalone timer into one system you own: time tracked on the project, a client portal, invoices built from the hours, and payments to your own Stripe or Paystack at a 0% commission.
