TribeNest
TribeNest vs Patreon

Patreon rents youan audience.Own it instead.

Patreon keeps 10% of every pledge and never hands you a patron's email. TribeNest runs on your own domain, takes 0% commission, and exports your whole audience any day you want. And where Patreon has no automation engine, ours wires memberships, email, SMS and your store into flows that run themselves.

§ 01, RENT VS DEED

One page you rent. One page you own.

On Patreon your page, your patrons and your payouts sit on their land, under their terms. On TribeNest the same membership runs on your domain, your list and your Stripe. Same members, two very different deeds.

The lease · Patreon
patreon.com/yourname
Your membership lives on Patreon's land, under Patreon's terms.
  • The page is theirs. Search ranks their catalog above you.
  • They keep 10% of every pledge, closer to 12% with processing.
  • Patrons are theirs. Email export is limited, the list stays put.
  • Apple's App Store surcharge gets passed to your iOS members.
  • No automation engine. Nothing fires when a patron acts.
The deed · TribeNest
yourdomain.com
The same membership, on a domain and a list that are yours to keep.
  • The page is yours, on your own domain, indexed as you.
  • 0% commission on every pledge, sale and tip, forever.
  • Your member and email list export to CSV any day you want.
  • A web app with push notifications, no App Store surcharge.
  • A real automation engine, wired across every module.

Rent long enough and you still own nothing. The deed was the point.

§ 02, THE CUT

Patreon's take grows. Ours is zero.

Patreon keeps a flat 10% of paid memberships, and closer to 12% once processing and currency conversion land. TribeNest takes 0% at every level. You pay a subscription, never a percentage.

Monthly pledgesPatreon keepsTribeNest keeps
$1,000/mo~$120$0
$2,500/mo~$300$0
$5,000/mo~$600$0
$10,000/mo~$1,200$0
The Patreon column estimates the standard 10 percent creator commission plus roughly 3 percent payment processing and 2.5 percent currency conversion where it applies, rounded to about 12 percent. Actual fees vary by tier and country. TribeNest's cut is always $0. You pay a subscription from $49 a month, and payments run through your own Stripe or Paystack at their standard rate.

Same subscription at $500 or $50,000 a month. Never a percentage.

§ 03, WIRED, NOT WISHED

Four flows Patreon can't run.

Patreon shows a feed and a pledge button, and stops there. TribeNest wires each patron action into the next step across email, SMS, segments and your store. These run on their own, and Patreon has no engine to express any of them.

§ 05, THE HONEST VERDICT

When Patreon is still the right call.

STAY ON PATREON IF

You want the simplest possible start.

Patreon is genuinely good at what it started: a trusted name fans already recognize, a marketplace that helps new patrons discover you, and a setup so simple you can take your first pledge in an afternoon. If you only need a pledge button and a feed, and discovery on their platform matters more than owning the relationship, Patreon still does that well.

SWITCH TO TRIBENEST IF

You want to own the audience and the upside.

If the 10% starts to sting, if you want a patron's email in your own list, if you want the membership on your own domain, and if you want welcome flows, recovery emails and store upsells running on their own, TribeNest is built for that. You keep 100% of pledge revenue and run the whole business from one login.

Patreon rents you a start. TribeNest hands you the deed.

§ 06, PLANS

Two plans. Every module on.

Every module is on from day one on both plans, with 0% commission. The only thing that grows is how much automation you run. Yearly billing is two months free.

§ 07, QUESTIONS

Common questions.

What every Patreon creator wants to know before switching.

Does TribeNest really take 0% of my memberships?

Yes. TribeNest charges a subscription from $49 a month and takes nothing else. Payment processing is the standard Stripe rate, about 2.9% plus 30 cents, paid to Stripe directly, the same rate Patreon also passes on on top of its 10 percent. The 10 percent that used to go to Patreon stays in your account.

Can I import my Patreon members?

Yes. Export your member list from Patreon as a CSV with email and tier, then import to TribeNest in one click. We send a branded email with a one-tap link for each member to claim their account at the same tier and price. Most creators migrate their list in under an hour.

What happens to my exclusive posts and feed?

Patreon allows full content export per post. Bulk download your posts and re-upload, or copy your feed across in batches. TribeNest's gated post feed and comments work the same way Patreon's do. Members keep getting new content the moment you publish.

Do members lose Patreon's mobile app?

No. TribeNest is a progressive web app, so members add it to their home screen and get push notifications for new posts. There is no App Store cut and no Patreon iOS surcharge passed on. Members on iPhone and Android get the same experience.

What does the 14-day free trial include?

The 14-day trial runs at Pro level: memberships, gated content, the store, live streaming, ticketing, email marketing, courses, the automation engine, social scheduling and DM automation. When it ends, you pick a plan, from $49 a month.

Patreon has no automations. What can TribeNest actually run?

TribeNest has a real automation engine that connects every module. A new patron can trigger a welcome email and SMS, a failed card can trigger a recovery flow, a new gated post can notify members and queue social promos, and a loyal patron can be offered a store discount. You draw a flow once and it runs on its own. Patreon has no engine for any of this.

Do I have to move everything at once?

No. Most creators import the member list first, keep publishing, and switch pledges over when they are ready. Start on the 14-day Pro trial, rebuild your tiers and flows, and point your domain when it looks right.

§ 08, MAKE THE SWITCH

Own the audience.
Keep every dollar.

Move your Patreon tiers, posts and members onto your own domain in under an hour. Keep 100% of pledge revenue, export your list any day, and let welcome, recovery and upsell flows run on their own.
